I SWEAR

UK 2025 / Dir: Kirk Jones / 120 mins
(BBFC Cert: 15)

I SWEAR is a frank, funny and powerful film inspired by the life and experiences of John Davidson, MBE, charting his journey from a misunderstood teenager in 1980’s Britain to present day advocate for the understanding and acceptance of Tourette Syndrome.

Diagnosed aged 15, John navigates his way against the odds through troubled teenage years and into adulthood, finding inspiration in the kindness of others to discover his true purpose in life.

This screening is part of Local Cinema Network, a network of community cinemas across Edinburgh, supporting film screenings co-curated with and for local communities across the city.
