Starcatchers and Dirliebane Theatre Company present Laaaunch!, an adventure of galactic proportions, made especially for tiny humans.
Join us for a colourful, hands-on session exploring culture, identity, and self-expression through textiles, craft, music, and stories.
We’ll meet at North Edinburgh Arts (NEA) at 10am before heading into the city for the Festivals. We will be going to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to see a performance of The Unlikely Friendship of Feather Boy and Tentacle Girl. Then, after grabbing some tasty lunch, we will head to National Galleries of Scotland to visit the Resistance photography exhibition and explore the grounds at Modern Two.
The Pop-Up Culture Lab is a weekly creative drop-in where young people explore culture, identity, and social connection through different expressive art forms. Open to all children and youth in the North Edinburgh community, this program makes space for self-discovery and storytelling through music, drama, poetry, visual art, and comics with an emphasis on learning from one another’s experiences.
Each Thursday focuses on a different theme and art form.
Curious about performing and creating a small show this summer! Whether you’re a budding actor, curious about the stage, or want to see how creating drama works, our Drama Summer Camp offers a fun, supportive space to explore your creativity. We will try some drama games, improvisation, and stagecraft — all while working toward an exciting final performance for friends and family. Let’s see if we can create a new piece of theatre.
