We’re currently looking for a Duty Officer to join our NEA team in our redeveloped building at MacMillan Hub.
Hours: 24 hours across 4 or 5 days, to include some evenings to 8.30pm and Saturdays 9.30am to 2.30pm
Salary: £27,250 per annum (pro rata)

ABOUT THE ROLE: DUTY OFFICER
The Duty Officer will contribute to the smooth day to day running of all NEA’s public facing operations including Front of House, Housekeeping, Community Café and Maintenance.
Acting as the first point for all in-person, telephone and email enquires they will ensure visitors to NEA receive a warm welcome and an excellent, enjoyable, safe, and supported experience that reaches or exceeds expectations. The Duty Officer will support the café, front of house, and housekeeping teams in daily/weekly tasks, and assist the Senior Management Team with aspects of venue management and maintenance.
We are looking for someone with experience managing staff in a community setting, ideally with previous Duty Officer, supervisory, or venue management experience. You will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating positive participant experience, with the confidence and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. The successful candidate will be organised, reliable, and accountable, with strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and flexible when working under pressure. Experience managing behaviour, working with external partners, and demonstrating a proactive, positive approach to problem-solving is essential.
