Become a member

As a registered charity, and community-owned asset, North Edinburgh Arts relies on the support of our local residents, funders, participants and visitors. To help ensure that our work is of benefit to local residents and responds to local need we are launching a new membership scheme.  By joining, you will be able to shape our services, steer and protect North Edinburgh Arts for future generations, and enjoy a range of benefits. 

There are three categories of members:  

ORDINARY MEMBER

Membership fee: £3 for 3 years

To be eligible to become an ordinary member, you: 

  • must be aged 16 or over
  • must be a resident in the local community (areas of Muirhouse, Pilton, Granton and Drylaw – please see the map above – pink area is showing our community boundary)
  • are entitled to vote at a local government election in a polling district that includes the Community or part of it 
  • support the objectives and activities of North Edinburgh Arts 

Benefits of the membership:

  • you will receive priority booking to selected North Edinburgh Arts’ events and activities, at preferential rates
  • you will receive a discount on café purchases in our new building
  • you will receive monthly newsletters and invitations to special events
  • you will have an important voice in the organisation 
  • you can attend Annual General Meetings and General Meetings 
  • you can shape future plans by voting at general meetings and being eligible to stand for election to the North Edinburgh Arts Board of Trustees  

Youth Member

Youth membership is free. You are required to re-register every 3 years to maintain membership status.

To be eligible to become a youth member, you: 

  • must be aged 15 years or younger  
  • support the objectives and activities of North Edinburgh Arts  

Benefits of the membership:

  • young person will receive priority booking to selected North Edinburgh Arts’ events and activities, at preferential rates   
  • young person will receive a discount on café purchases in our new building
  • young person can advise the Board of Trustees and Ordinary Members on relevant matters 

ASSOCIATE MEMBER

Membership fee: £9 for three years 

To be eligible to become an associate member, you: 

  • must be aged 16 and over  
  • don’t reside in the local Community but support the objectives and activities of North Edinburgh Arts 
  • you are required to re-register every 3 years to maintain membership status  

Benefits of the membership:

  • you will receive monthly newsletters and invitations to special events 
  • you will support North Edinburgh Arts’ work
